In honor of the late Judith McCann Heiser of Ivoryton, Visiting Nurses of the Lower Valley is proud to announce the 2026 Nursing Scholarship Program. Scholarships will be awarded to residents of Essex, Chester, Deep River, Old Saybrook, Old Lyme, and East Lyme who plan to pursue a career in nursing.

One or more scholarships will be granted, with a total of $5,000 in awards available. Recipients will be selected based on academic achievement, interview performance, essay quality, and motivation to enter the nursing profession.
